Ever run into that issue where you had a stubborn stain? Sure we used some detergent to clean up the issue. Well nothing is about as stubborn on Storage Spaces as stale metadata. So what to use?
Well I ran across the issue in my lab as I was attempting to reproduce a customer issue. I had to quickly dismantle my clustered storage JBOD and purpose it. So what to do? After an attempt to change the read-only and then fight. I turned to TechNet and found this nice script.

Now to be fair and quote the article:
** DATA LOSS WILL OCCUR - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK **
So please consider this before using.
However in my situation this was great. I ran it and in less than 2.3 minutes I had my drives back into an empty and ready state. Definitely a tool I am putting in the tool box.
